Herwig is a Senior Manager at EY's Forensics and Integrity Services practice in San Francisco, California. With over 14 years of experience in compliance and forensics, his expertise lies in designing, implementing, and improving effective integrity and compliance programs that work in practice. Herwig has worked closely with clients to design, implement, and assess these programs, incorporating data analytics techniques throughout the process. From managing regulatory expectations to developing robust compliance risk assessment and mitigation methodologies, his goal is to ensure that compliance is integrated seamlessly into all aspects of an organization's operations and driven by data. Herwig has conducted forensic investigations around the globe, dealing with complex regulatory issues and instances of fraud, conflicts of interest, and corruption. Herwig has also advised clients in designing internal investigation processes. Prior to joining the EY San Francisco team, he also worked at the EY offices in Los Angeles, Dusseldorf, Munich, and London. Herwig is a Certified Fraud Examiner through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
